From all of us at the LaSalle Public Library to all our Friends, please join us, on Saturday, December 12th, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for your Library’s “Holiday Gift Book Giveaway.”
Totally outdoors (dress for the weather!) and safe, socially distant, with everyone wearing masks, the Giveaway is for kids, big and small. Free and open to the public, the only requirements are to properly wear your mask and come with a holiday smile (something we’ve really missed seeing!) We’ll know your smiles are right there, under the masks!
The line will form from the Library parking lot and extend back toward Third Street and Marquette, then north along Marquette. Books will be handed out at both utility doors located on the west (parking lot) side of the Library building.
Families are asked to observe social distancing and stay together as a family unit. Volunteers will be on hand to help direct the flow to ensure safety and to help move the process along quickly. It will be so great to see everyone again!
If you have questions or need more information, please call the Library at 815-223-2341. The LaSalle Public Library is ADA compliant and welcoming. Note: In the event of inclement weather and/or if a library staff member tests positive for COVID-19, the holiday gift book giveaway will be postponed. To ensure the safety of event attendees, the library parking lot and book drop lane will be closed to vehicle traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
